TutorRaz Singapore: Results-Driven Tuition for Primary to Secondary Students

A Moment That Changed Everything

Razzaq Reyal’s journey into education did not begin with confidence. It began with struggle. In Secondary 3, he took Principles of Accounting for the first time. It was confusing, fast-paced, and difficult to follow. Within just two weeks, he was already considering dropping the subject. The classes felt unclear. Nothing seemed to make sense. Then everything changed.A full-time teacher stepped in, and suddenly the same subject became structured, understandable, and even enjoyable. What once felt impossible became manageable. That moment stayed with him.Because it revealed something powerful.

The right teacher does not just teach. They change direction.

Discovering a Purpose

As time went on, Razzaq found himself going beyond just learning. At one point, he was explaining concepts to others and even helping clarify things during lessons. What started as confusion slowly turned into understanding, and eventually, into teaching.During his O-Level years, he formed a study group with his friends. One of them, Ashraf, was struggling significantly.Instead of just revising together casually, Razzaq created a structured six-month plan to help him improve. Step by step, they worked through the subject, building clarity and confidence.By the end of it, Ashraf had improved. That experience changed everything. It was no longer just about passing exams.

It was about impact. That was when Razzaq realised teaching was not just something he could do.

It was something he was meant to do.

The First Step Into Teaching

In 2017, during his university years, Razzaq took his first real step.He started tutoring, initially just to earn some pocket money. At the same time, he applied to join the Mendaki Tuition Scheme. He was rejected. But one mentor saw potential in him and gave him a chance. That opportunity became the foundation for his development. It was where he began to understand what effective teaching truly meant. Not just delivering content, but guiding students in a way that made learning stick.

Building TutorRaz.com

After graduating, something unexpected happened. Students started reaching out, asking if they could continue learning with him. That demand became the signal. In 2021, Razzaq officially founded TutorRaz.com.What started as a small initiative quickly grew. From one student, it expanded to over 150.

From one-to-one sessions, it evolved into structured online classes.

From a simple side effort, it became a full platform serving students from Primary 4 to Secondary 4.

Growth Comes With Challenges

As TutorRaz grew, so did the pressure. The biggest challenge was not demand. It was maintaining quality.Finding tutors who could teach with the same level of clarity and care was difficult. Scaling a teaching system while preserving impact became a constant challenge. There were moments of doubt. But instead of rushing growth, Razzaq focused on reflection and improvement.

Refining systems. Improving delivery. Strengthening the foundation.

What People Don’t See

Behind the lessons and results is something deeper. For Razzaq, teaching is not just about content. It is about connection. Understanding how a student thinks.

Recognising where they struggle.

Guiding them in a way that builds both confidence and clarity. Because real learning does not come from memorising.

It comes from understanding.

Building the Future of Learning

Looking ahead, Razzaq is focused on building something bigger. He envisions a system where technology supports teaching, not replaces it. With AI-powered tools, automated processes, and structured knowledge systems, TutorRaz aims to scale without losing its core. To give more students access to better learning. While allowing teachers to focus on what matters most. Teaching.

A Simple Message

At the heart of it all, Razzaq’s philosophy is clear. Do not chase outcomes. Focus on value.Because when you focus on helping people improve, results follow naturally. And for him, that is what education should always be about.
